SNOW!

It's that time of year again, snow has owned us all. Scarlett enjoys it a lot more than I do, fortunately. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Happy Holidays :D

Some sillies for you

Well well, it's been nearly 2 months and I've failed to update what's left of my viewers, which I'm pretty sure is none. Oh well, I can always do this for myself, right? So I've been home, sick with the flu for the past 3 days and I've ran out of ideas to keep me entertained. I've decided I might as well do stuff I usually dont have time to do, like roll my tips and clean my room and obviously update this blog.

I've got some good news for you though! On November 6th I got my drivers licence which can only mean one thing; Scarlett gets to get back into agility. I'm hoping to start her back in February, once I get back on track with school and everything. She'll be in a Novice class, learning a little more stuff that she did in Beginners. She enjoyed it so much, I can't wait to start again.

I'll enclude a video of her weaving practice somewhere in here. Just remember that the video was taken after 3 months of NOTHING, therefore she looks a little wonky.

Here's a few photos of her as well. That's all for now.

AND THE VIDEO!

...is not currently working. ¬.¬

OMG, it is possible!

Just when I thought getting a picture of the three boogers together would never happen, BAM, the opportunity happens. So I snap about 70 shots and get no decent ones, obviously. Here's the best I could do. Hope you guys enjoy. Feabee is the little white and orange puppy, she just turned 7. Zoe's the furry, monkey looking dog in the middle. She's 3. And last but not least is my well known red head, Scarlett. She's 1.5 years already! Click on the image for a large view. Sorry about it horrible quality, take a picture of three wiggle butts is not as easy as it seems. And yes, im aware the two shih tzus need a trim :D

Turns out I was right!

I KNOW I KNOW! I'm truely sorry about the serious lack of updates. I mean, 3 months?! I could have taken the time to post something at least 3 or 4 times during that time period. Okay, so as you already guessed, my summer was extremely busy. I worked 40 hour weeks and when I had time off, I hung out with friends or went camping with the pup. I also got the visit from an old online friend of mine for a week (who is now my BF) and that ended the summer quite well!

I wont make a novel out of this as I know most of you probably won't be reading this anymore. If you still are, please let me know you're alive! I'd really appreciate it! Leave a comment or something :D

So, I dont have many updates on Scarlett. She recently developped a water fetish and will literally drag me into the lake/ocean/puddle/source of water if there is one. I wont complain though, it's about time I have a dog that enjoys water!

As for me, I started school a month ago. Second year of college, and boy is it intense. I love my program though, so I can't complain. The only thing I don't enjoy is the 7-8 projects we get... all the time. And the travelling, can't say I enjoy sitting in a train for nearly 3 hours a day.

Anyways, here are some long overdue photos from this summer.

A day at the park

I told you you'd have an update! Okay, so Scarlett was getting rather antsy lately, that's what happens when it rains for a few days straight. I decided it'd be fun to go to my old highschool's soccer field and play some fetch with Red Head. Little did I know it would, it got really hot out and we had to cut the play time short. I know Scarlett would of gone on forever, but I was getting worried of her overheating, so I took no chances. Before heading home, we stopped in the shade to take a short break. Day camp kids saw her and were screaming with glee, it was quite amusing. So as I promised, here are some photos from today. Sorry, I got not action shots, it's not obvious to throw a ball and take some pictures at the same time, haha.

I'm hoping to add some picture of Monkey Dog (Zoe) and Sausage (Feabs) soon into my blog. Red Head and MD get along rather fine, unless MD's in a bad mood, which happens quite often haha. Keep your eyes open for two new face here, they're getting shaved tomorrow, so I'm hoping for good pics of the pooches tonight!

SOON!

I promise you all an update soon. Just waiting for the weather to be nice enough to take pictures :D

Some sad news

Okay, so it's not devistating or horribly news, but nothing I was planning on announcing this early in the summer. Unfortunately, Scarlett's agility career has come to an end for summer 2009. We were about to embark into a new adventure, or simple a new class: Novice Agility. She completed her Beginner's class and passed with flying colours. The teachers LOVED her and wanted to see more of her, but unfortunately, the class I signed up for had to be canceled due to the lack of participation. I guess Monday classes aren't the best for everyone.

ANYWAYS, she ended up getting a ceritficate and a blue ribbon (like everyone else!) for paticipation. If only I had more time on my hands and had my drivers permit (which I've been putting off for to long now, I'm getting it soon, thank God!) we'd be able to continue. I'm sad to say that she probably won't be doing any other agility until summer of 2010, quite a sad thought.

And because I can't update you all without a photo, here's Scarlett with her ribbon :D Sorry about the horrible quality, it was done quick and dirty hahaha.

June 12th 2009

First week of summer school is over! I'm so happy, it's crazy. The amount of reading required for the class is out of the ordinary, but then again, a full college english class done in 3 weeks is something else as well.

So I sit here, on campus, where it's finally sunny and obviously I don't have anything to do. I have a video for all of you though. It's Scarlett's weaving progress, she's actually gotten the concept down, she just needs a bit of improving. If you ask me though, she's done quite well for only 3 weeks of training!

Hope you all enjoy!

Week whatever it is

Okay, so I failed... pretty badly infact. I completely forgot about the blog and I've been quite busy with life these past few weeks. I've recently been promoted at work and I'm now a proud new supervisor. I've also started summer school in order to keep up with my insane course load and to make up for the class I dropped last semester.

However, through all this crazyness, Scarlett and I have started taking agility class. Our first 5 weeks will be up as of next week and I'm hoping to have her in Novice classes afterwards. She's pretty darn good, that dog. She's currently the class "pro" according to the few teachers we have. She takes everything on like it was amazingly easy and doesn't fear a thing. Her favorites are currently the Tunnels and the Weave Poles. Yes, I did say the weave poles. She managed to grasp the concept of the weave poles extremely quickly and can now weave, pretty quickly at that, within 3 weeks of training. Sure she's still unpredictable and does a few mistakes here and there, but you have to give us time! So yeah, all I have to share with you are a few 2 week old photos and video of our agility class.

Here we just started training, it was our second day. The poles were close but not enough to get an actual weave movement out of Scarlett. She's improved a LOT since then.

The following images were taken by my mother with my tiny, point and shoot camera. Quality is horrible and focus is off. This was our second class. We were just learning the teeter, reason why there are two pause tables holding the teeter up.

Week 7

Okay. So I failed to make week 7 on time again. BUT I HAVE AN EXCUSE. I was unable to get on the computer (lack of internet) because of camping these past two days so I don't care if I'm breaking my own rules or not. I'M POSTING WEEK 7 ANYWAYS.

ENJOY -.-

Yeah, she likes the water.

Week 5

I know, early post right? But there's a reason. Today, we're April 28Th 2009. Just an other day? WRONG. Today is my furball's first birthday! Scarlett turned 1! WOO PARTY TIME! Unfortunately, due to lack of time I currently seem to be experiencing (damn you final weeks of the semester!!) she didn't get any presents or a cake, but I'm planning on getting her a new toy sometime this week. Anyways, I have to get some projects done so this is only a short entry, buuuut, you all get Bonus RedHead Pictures (TM) because of the special occasion :D

DID SOMEONES SAI BIRFDAI PARTIES!?

Week 3

This week, I've learned more about my precious little girl. Although she's yet to reach 12 months, my furball is nothing less than a ball of energy and drive. Today, for 1 hour straight, I made her run for her oh-so-important tennis ball. I swear, if that thing were to vanish, I think she'd die on the spot. Anyway, she gave 110% of herself into the game, she jumped and pushed, she ran and hopped all over the place. I had to make her stop as she wasn't going to, even if it meant overheating. I took her in so she could rest but she begged for more, that poor fool. After a rest, I let her out back so we could play ball, once again. This time though, it lasted 15 minutes and was far less intense. Gotta love the determination and drive of a Border Collie.
